Those days were cold and black,
With lots of rains and wind,
To wash away the feeling
Of sadness and deceit.
Then there’s this warmth around
Which looks like it’s not real,
A melody of summer –
The color of tomorrow.
The warmth was in those eyes
And lips and skin and arms,
Hidden in that voice
Always so soft and low.
And how could I forget,
The looks that this warmth had?
It’s always by my side,
Caught deeply in my mind.
